Dad needed to get back to Pinehurst, so here I am, watching the sun set over whatever fairway they live on, drinking a lucky find in their fridge (it was either this or a Coors Light left over from when brother Rick was here).
As advertised, this beer is dark black, but is much tamer in taste than a stout or porter, and thank goodness, lacks any kind of fruity adition... Otherwise, it is a decent drink.
Specs:
Full Name: Samuel Adams Black Lager
Brewed by: Samuel Adams
From: Boston MA
ABV: don't know, not really important....
I'll be back up in Durham tomorrow, and back to more interesting beers. It time to discover a new palie to join the top favs.

Day 150 - Samuel Adams Summer Ale
One from the pipeline provided by Cullen when I got home. This is a step up from the Keystone Light....Good thing this one is 22 oz, as I'm trying to figure out whether I like it or not. It has a nice color true enough, and a decent malt body, but it lacks something.
Specs:
Full Name: Samuel Adams Summer Ale
Brewed By: The Boston Beer Company
From: Boston MA
ABV: unknown
In the end, I think this one too wheaty for my taste. It's a decent beer, but even given the hot day, this one doesn't really refresh in my opinion as much as provide a bigl flavor. Still, give me a clean lager or palie anyday.
