Day 168 - Mission St Pale Ale

Another risk tonight, as I only made it by Trader Joe's today, and picked up a couple of options for the pipeline that I hadn't tried yet.

Bleached yellow color, and predominately hops flavor, it is acceptable on a hot summer night after walking the dog and doing some weeding in the garden. There is almost a wheat sweetness undertone though, which keeps it at just average.

Specs:

Full Name: Mission St Pale Ale
Brewed By: Steinhaus Brewing Co
From: Paso Robles CA
ABV: 4.6%

Yet another "made for TJ's" beer, I guess this is just supposed to be the 3 buck chuck of the beer world for them. If you want to save a few bucks and maybe look like you are drinking something decent, perhaps you should try this. It is way beyond the lemon frubee from last night, but then so are many other yellow liquids......

Hum, Cullen still has a couple of H&Is in the fridge, will try to sneak another one so the evening isn't a total loss... ;>)

Day 34 - Jumping Cow

It's friday, so I'll keep this short.

This beer is worth looking for and drinking. Well-rounded flavor, balancing both a malty undertone with a dry finish. Would go well at any occasion. If you see it, try it, if you don't like it, that's tough cookies, and why are you listening to me... ;>)

Specs:
Full Name: Jumping Cow Amber Ale
Brewed by: Steinhaus Brewing Co
From: New Ulm, MN
ABV: 5.5%

Everyone (or anyone....) have a great weekend, and FYI, this one is from the Proc Collection, so thanks Dave/Mary!
