Another day spent doing the Christmas shopping thing with Ellie, and even though at times we have a difference of opinion on a certain idea, somehow we manage to take care of everyone on our list. Clearly there was risk in this selection, as anything that prominently talks about sweetness in the beer is potentially scary. Still, it pours a nice coppery color, and actually, tastes like a decent palie except for a strong sweet finish. Guess I dodged a bullet on this one...

So, seems that adding more sugar pumps up the ABV. It is a bit heavy, so no temptation to sit and drink more than one, but a good change of pace.
