day 178 - Super Bock

This is an interesting beer tonight. According to the web, this is the leading beer brand on the Portuguese market. Of course, I expect Budweiser holds that title in the US, so that claim doesn't hold much water, or make for good beer.

Still, they try and disguise things, by not putting the P word on the label, and having a brown green bottle, but in the end, the taste is not that dissimilar than the usual European export, though perhaps a bit less bitey. You can drink it, and probably a lot, but why?

Last comment, but it comes in an 11.2 oz bottle, what is up with that??? For the same price, I could have one of those Regia Extra 32 oz babies from way back in the blog, resulting in much better value.
